On the lips, I expect it would take a bit longer to go away, since it&#039;s not always a wet environment as it is on the tongue. For the latter, for each biopsy, it took between half a day and a day for the gunk to clear for me, depending on how much water I was drinking at the time.  He could just tell people it&#039;s a fashion statement - maybe he&#039;ll start a trend.

I hope it turns out to be nothing for him. But if it does turn out to be something, I&#039;m at least one person who has been through it and came out the other side.
