When he raises his ears, he does look a bit like a Mouseketeer. At the moment, he's in his den under the dining room table, gnawing away on a ham bone. Why do we do this? Because we're suckers. That's the only plausible explanation I can come up with. I should note that despite one foray into my peas/broccoli (and after being told no very firmly), Mickey does quite well at avoiding running into that piece of the yard when he's bolting around outside.
