You’re doing a heckuva job, Brownie

Yesterday, we had the distinct pleasure of taking my aunt and uncle out to the house to let them get a view of it before it’s finished.

I also took a photo of the master bedroom ceiling for Anna (hi, Anna!) – there certainly must be some architectural word for this type.

We found a pool guy slaving away in the back, putting in the line to the pump.

A late afternoon nap is just the thing everyone needs sometimes. And if you can have three out of the four furry critters with you, so much the better.

When we went back to the house today to plan out the walking paths and seating areas in the front, we found that the pool guy had almost finished the entire run, except for the termination area at the pump itself. Things are moving right along.

  1. OMG! If that isn’t the cutest damn picture of y’all catching your z’s… Where’s Gandalf? It does my heart good to see you at rest. No asshats infiltrating your dreams, I hope. Can’t wait ’til U-Haul day. That much closer to my all important stomach fill-ups, eh?
I really miss you guys when I’m away.

  2. Gandalf, the princess, does not associate with commoners. I think she was keeping her butt warm on the Tivo. Just think, by the time you get back, it will almost be new house time. We’ve decided to get rid of almost all the saw palmetto out front. Removing those are a royal pain in the ass because they have fairly deep taproots and of course those saws. You up for some clearing? Think of the benefits! Back breaking exercise. Fresh air! Free food!

I can’t go anywhere – even to sleep – without my cell. It’s like a permanent attachment at this point.

  3. Hi, Annette! And thanks for the pic. The house is so beautiful, I can’t wait until it’s finished to see the final product (and to taste some of the delicious food you’ll make in that huge kitchen of yours!).
